About Me

From a young age, I was passionate about ballet and modern dance. However, these pursuits also sparked an intense preoccupation with food and weight. The pressure to excel academically while maintaining a lean physique led to a relentless struggle to shed those “last 10 pounds.” I often found myself wrestling with immediate food gratification and self-criticism over my perceived lack of willpower.

After overcoming these personal challenges, I was inspired to help others facing similar obstacles. I pursued a career as an exercise physiologist and joined The Joslin Clinic—a renowned Boston hospital specializing in diabetes treatment. As a bilingual Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) focused on cultural competency, I developed educational materials for the Latino community. This work deepened my understanding of the vital role physical activity plays in diabetes management, positioning me as one of only 60 exercise professionals worldwide uniquely qualified to teach patients how to control blood sugar through exercise.

With over 20 years of clinical and industry experience, I have refined my approach to health education to be both accessible and engaging. Today, I am honored to serve as a keynote speaker in the United States and internationally, training healthcare providers who work with English- and Spanish-speaking patients.

Find Your Inner GPS

Uncover the motivation that will take you toward permanent lifestyle changes. If you ever said, “I know what to do, I just don’t do it,” then you have not found your “inner GPS.” This coaching program helps you create powerful reasons for staying on track and provides accountability support so that you can stick with your changes for a lifetime.

Take Charge of your Medical and Diabetes Regimen

If you hate checking your blood glucose and can’t make heads or tails of its fluctuations, you are not alone. Through this program, you will: 1) learn to interpret your daily and weekly blood glucose readings; 2) understand the impact of food, physical activity, stress, and travel on your health, and learn sick-day rules; 3) understand how your current medications affect your blood glucose; 4) have educated conversations with your health care providers so that you can take control of your medical and diabetes regimen.

Get an Integrated Diet and Lifestyle Plan

This program helps you reframe your relationship to meal planning, physical activity, and diabetes management. Many times people avoid a consistent exercise program because it may be painful and unpleasant. Now you can get an exercise plan—one of the key ingredients to your success—that is unique, effective and yet enjoyable, so that your inner motivation drives you. Together we will develop daily practices that are in alignment with your mind and body. You can overcome limiting beliefs and self-doubt and stop destructive, self-sabotaging behaviors.
